Hello everyone,My name’s Jack,I’m eleven years old.This is our Earth.How can we find our location? We can use a map or a globe.MAP A map is a moudle of Earth.We use a map to find land.GLOBE A globe is also a model of Earth.Aglobe is round and a map is flat.Earth is made of water and land,There are different shapes of land.The different shapes of land are called landforms.Now,I will tell you about different landforms.ISLAND A landform that has water going all the way around it is called is land.Sanya is an island.PENINSULA A landform that has water an all sides but one is called a peninsula. A peninsula and an island aren’t the same.LAKE A lake is a small body of water.It has fresh water.Ducks,turtles and fish live in lake. Pingtian lake is a lake.RIVER A river is a single stream of water that flows into an ocean or lake. A river has fresh water too. Hippo potamus,fish,crocoiles live in rivers. The yellow river in China is a river.MOUNTAINS A mountain is the highest form of land.HILL A hill is higher that the land around it,but not as high an mountains.PLAIN,VALLEYA flat area of land is called a plain.The low area between mountains or hills is called a valley.There are many natural resources on the Earth.Water,trees,sunlight and air are natural resources. They are very important.So,we need to protect them.Earth is our home.We must be careful,not to harm it.We need it to be our home now and in the future.The future means the time that is still to come.We need to be careful about the changes we make on Earth.Sometimes these changes might cause problems.How do we protect our natural resources?We can keep our natural resources a live by planting.We can use less water to make sure there is enough for the future.We can recycle newspapers,cans,bottles and boxes.Now,let’s take action!
